The ProblemTracker Database
ProblemTracker uses a database via the industry standard
ODBC interface. The following databases are currently supported:
- Microsoft Access (included)
- Microsoft SQL Server (optional)
As part of the setup procedure, you must use ODBC to define
the data source used by ProblemTracker. A data source
is a database that ODBC has exported via a data source name (DSN).
Note that ProblemTracker requires the use of ODBC System
Data Sources. Additionally, certain databases may require that
you initialize the database for use with ProblemTracker
The following sections cover installing ODBC, and also
the required setup for each supported database.
